FIRST: The apron “skirt” pattern piece should also be cut from lining fabric on the fold.

STEP 2: Cut Side Bands 12”x 4” instead of 10”x 4”.

STEP 12: To add a Pocket Ruffle: Cut a piece 14”x 2 1/2” Fold in half lengthwise, right sides facing. Stitch short ends in a 1/4“ seam. Turn, press.

Gather the ruffle using two rows of machine basting 1/2” and 1/4” from raw edge. Gather to fit the upper pocket edge between side seam allowances. Pin to upper edge of the right side of one pocket, with raw edges even. Stitch along your 1/2” gathering stitch line. Now continue the directions as printed.

STEP 13: Refer to pattern photo for placement of pocket on skirt, or place as desired.

Funked Out Peasant Blouse Updates

* If you have a white paper pattern: Recent patterns have been updated. Please check your pattern and make these corrections if necessary.

*All seams are 5/8” unless otherwise marked

*Project requirements list should include 14” zipper, and elastic thread for the longer sleeve option.

You may want to transfer the notches that are on the instructions, but are not on the upper and lower front and back pattern pieces at the empire waist seam.

The zipper placement markings on the Upper Front and Upper Back pieces are 1” too high. Bring the circles down 1”, and mark this change on your pattern pieces. (Tissue patterns are correct.)

White paper patterns came in 3 sizes: 8, 10, and 12. They translate (in actuality) to store-bought sizes 2-4, 6, and 8, respectively.

New Tissue Patterns for Peasant Blouse: The newer patterns come in sizes 8-18, and have multi-sized tissue pattern pieces rather than paper. If you would like an updated tissue pattern to replace your white paper pattern, please email me: Lilatuellerdesigns@gmail.com

(Funked Out Peasant Blouse Pattern Cont’d): There is one small correction for the first printing of the tissue pattern:

Step 1: Gather the LOWER edge of Upper Front, not the upper edge.
