off to market again!

This is a sweet little picture of my second grand baby, Lola. Isn't she a little doll? I wish I could see her right now. She lives too far away! I'm hoping she won't grow too much before I see her at Thanksgiving. I could just steal some sugar off her and I wouldn't need a bit of turkey and stuffing! Or pumpkin pie for that matter.

Well. anyway... It's 2:00 am and I'm finally taking a moment to bid farewell as I go off to Quilt Market in Houston:) It's over Halloween this year...Booooo. (No pun intended;)

Such bad timing!
My kids are really disappointed I won't be here to see them in costume, and I won't be here to make my traditional Halloween Pumpkin Soup either. That's nothing short of tragic! I don't know if I can live through that.

Quilt Market should be fun, though, if I can get over the Halloween thing.
This time I am doing a new booth. Although it's still a 10'x10', I have decided to go with hard walls this time. Hopefully the booth will make it intact to the show, and I won't have to do too much repair work on it! I haven't been able to justify doing a large booth...I just feel like it's too much money, and I have a lot of mouths to feed. I think I feel better about being more conservative. It just fits me better. That's not to say I won't ever do a larger booth, but you know...times are tough right now, the economy is in the toilet, and It's not the time for extravagance. At least not for me.

I'll get lots of pictures, and I'll try to post while I'm there so you can see things as they happen! It promises to be full of beautiful things to look at, so I hope you won't mind if I post again soon about it.

Meanwhile...have a great Halloween!
Without me:(

New patterns available for pre-order now!

Hello hello!

Just dropping a note to let you know that you can order these brand spanking new sewing patterns NOW!

These three new patterns are available for Pre-Order only. That means you can reserve them now so that you will be among the first to receive them as soon as they become available, which will be within the next week or so.

All you have to do is click on the images to go straight to the pattern shop. These patterns will be showing themselves at quilt market in a couple of weeks, so no one has seen them yet except here on my blog. The fabric collection, Isabella, will also be showing at Quilt Market, and will become available early in November, so watch for that! If you own a shop, you can go to Riley Blake Designs to order the fabric
now.

I have been extremely busy preparing for Quilt Market, getting my booth all ready to go. Of course I will come home with lots of pictures to share with you, hopefully some great video footage as well, and tons of eye-candy from all of the fabulous booths and displays there for your fabric craving fulfillment:) Does everyone have fabric cravings? Or is it just me???

Anyway...it's always a treat, and always a crazy wild ride full of adventure. I still have not figured out Houston's freeway system. I always get lost in that city. This time, I'm getting a GPS in my rental car! (DUH!!)

Have a great week...

New Stuff!!

Introducing: The London Peasant Top/Dress for Women!

My daughter Paige is modeling this for me.
This one is done in "Isabella" in the Coral colorway.
It features the Paneled Skirt and Bell Sleeve options. Looks great with boots, and can be made as a top as well.
Women sizes 2-18 are included in this pattern.

Next up is the Hot Pink colorway:

The only difference is this one has the 3/4 length Sleeve option.
As yet I haven't made one up in the blue colorway...that is next, and in the tiered version:)

Now for the Metro Bag!

You will love this bag! It has everything you need...lots of interior pockets, and an exterior cell phone pocket too. The little feet on the bottom keep your bag off the ground, and the whole thing wraps up fashionably in a great exterior flap closure.

Now for the Cambridge Cargo Bag! This was a major accomplishment...it took me about 4 months to get it all down on paper. It's a super roomy messenger-type bag, with tons of space, pockets galore, and that great slouchy cargo look.

Remember there will be hardware kits available with all the pieces you will need to create either of these bags! It's one-stop shopping at its best!

So...that's it for now! I have other things in the works, but this is good for starters!

I hope you have enjoyed my little preview! I will be posting these for pre-sale shortly, so keep your eyes peeled and save one for yourself!

Happy Fall!

Spirit shoes!!

How freaking cute are these?? That's one of my Spirit designs (in colors Moda didn't run)
on some Keds! I just love these!

I ordered these from Zazzle.com. You can go on that site and upload any design you want on shoes and lots of other things.
I saved some I did in my new line "Isabella" for purchase in their store. You can actually go online and order them in your size! They are called Isabella Blue.
Tons of fun!
