Another "Mad" Post, and help for Haiti and Chile

Well actually I should call it an "annoyed" post. I do get annoyed at times...I'm not gonna lie.
This time it has nothing to do with my often messy house, but I just have to vent. Do you mind?...I hope not:)

OK, so I have recently been informed that there is a concern about my pattern logo. It's been a topic of conversation , apparently, among certain groups.
It seems there has been talk that my new logo resembles another pattern designer's logo too closely, hence I have been accused of "pattern Logo theft"!

This situation causes one to wonder how, with all of the things going on in the world, these people cannot think of anything more important to discuss than pattern logos. I mean, really, is that all you can come up with? Whoever you are?

Now let me say this: I have seen the similarity, and it's true, they are somewhat the same, but my question is...So...?
And by the way...I did not make a study of this person's logo, and then copy it. I drew up my own, and that is that.

Anyway, I have decided that in order to alleviate the problem, I will change my logo, yet again, so as not to cause anyone undo stress.

This is the new logo, and it is, I assure you, my own design. Big freaking deal.
OK. There. I feel a lot better now... I just had to get that out.
Sorry if the multiple logo thing causes confusion...and please know that as soon as the older patterns go to print again, I will change them all over to the new logo design.

Now...what's really important that we can talk about? How about the earthquake situation in Haiti, and the suffering there? How about the earthquake situation in Chile and the suffering there?

I have an idea. I would like to invite anyone who is interested to start sewing up little shorts and little skirts for the young children in these countries, especially in Haiti, who have been left with nothing but the clothes on their backs. We in the sewing community can actually help. I can distribute these items to my local church humanitarian organization, which will then take them directly to Haiti, and Chile and get them into the hands of those who are in need.
I can personally assure you that this is a very legitimate organization, that has already taken millions of dollars worth of aid to many devastated countries.

If you are interested, and feel that you would like to help in this manner,

Please email me:

Make items with finished seams, (no smaller than 1/2" seam allowances) , and with good quality thread and fabric. Then email me, and I will see to it that they are distributed properly.
It seems a small thing, but not to the child who will wear something clean, cute, and new; maybe for the first time. So do your best work for them!

Thank You!!!!

Contest Officially Over

OK, I admit that I let it run a little overtime. I was out of town for a week and just decided to let it continue till I got home.

I actually shed tears reading over the comments for this contest! Quite honestly, there is no way in the world that I could ever pick a winner.

It was wonderful also to see how many people would give the quilt to another more deserving person should their name be drawn.

I really wish that I had 339 quilts to give away!
Well...I must choose, so I shall. I'm going to let the "randomizer" do it for me. That way, I won't have to make a choice.

Please just know that you are all wonderful, and deserving, and so generous with your praise!
Thanks for being my "blogworld" friends!

PS: I'll post on the winner tomorrow, Saturday the 6th of March.
