This is a sweet little picture of my second grand baby, Lola. Isn't she a little doll? I wish I could see her right now. She lives too far away! I'm hoping she won't grow too much before I see her at Thanksgiving. I could just steal some sugar off her and I wouldn't need a bit of turkey and stuffing! Or pumpkin pie for that matter.
Well. anyway... It's 2:00 am and I'm finally taking a moment to bid farewell as I go off to Quilt Market in Houston:) It's over Halloween this year...Booooo. (No pun intended;)
Such bad timing! My kids are really disappointed I won't be here to see them in costume, and I won't be here to make my traditional Halloween Pumpkin Soup either. That's nothing short of tragic! I don't know if I can live through that.
Quilt Market should be fun, though, if I can get over the Halloween thing. This time I am doing a new booth. Although it's still a 10'x10', I have decided to go with hard walls this time. Hopefully the booth will make it intact to the show, and I won't have to do too much repair work on it! I haven't been able to justify doing a large booth...I just feel like it's too much money, and I have a lot of mouths to feed. I think I feel better about being more conservative. It just fits me better. That's not to say I won't ever do a larger booth, but you know...times are tough right now, the economy is in the toilet, and It's not the time for extravagance. At least not for me.
I'll get lots of pictures, and I'll try to post while I'm there so you can see things as they happen! It promises to be full of beautiful things to look at, so I hope you won't mind if I post again soon about it.
Meanwhile...have a great Halloween!
Without me:(

Good luck to you at Quilt Market, can' wait to see your booth pictues. Sorry you are missing Halloween.
Hey Lila,
I know the feeling. I couldn't make myself go this year, partly because of Halloween and partly because we are moving this weekend. I'm bummed out that I won't be seeing your new line for Riley Blake! We always enjoy visiting with you and seeing your new stuff! Have fun, and say hi to my Mom! (she'll be there!)
See YOU at the Quilt Market! I am going with my mom & mother-in-law, I am SO excited!!
