Giveaway Contest Begins Today!

This quilt was made from my newest line of fabric out called "Eden". It's a really fun, textural flouncy thing that I have talked myself into parting with as the GRAND PRIZE for this contest!
Here's a few closeups for you.

Now...let's talk about the rules.
It's an easy one. All you have to do is leave a comment here...tell me why you want the quilt, leave me your blog or email address, and then post about it on your blog if you have one, and add a link back to my blog for your readers.

Please don't leave me multiple comments, unless you forget to add your email or something.
Commenting more than once will only decrease your chances of winning.

I'll let this run for about a week, and then I'm going to randomly choose the winner.

The winner will receive this grand prize quilt with a retail value of about $200+!!!
There will also be second and third prizes of pattern 3 packs.

OK. That's it! I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Get ready for the comments!! This is one beautiful quilt :)

I would love to give this quilt to my 8 year old daughter. She is so shy and we have been working with her to be brave to say hello to new friends and ask others to play with her. It's a tough thing for her, but she is trying it out. She was so excited last week (and proud too I think!) because she asked a classmate to play a game with her AND he said YES! I would love to have something beautiful to show her how proud I am of her and how lucky I am to have her for a daughter. This quilt says it all!! Bold, brave and beautiful - just like her :)
Thank you for a chance to win!!

You can see pictures of her on my blog here:

Oh that's gorgeous!!! My 5yo daughter is starting Kindergarten this fall, and we're going to move her into a new "big girl" room for her this summer. The room she's moving to shares a wall with our living room, so I've been thinking of getting a quilt to hang on the wall of her room to help muffle sound while she's sleeping- This would be SO gorgeous for that!!!

Oh what a GORGEOUS quilt! I am so grateful for a chance to win one of your amazing creations. Well, Mother's Day is coming up. My mother-in-law was recently diagnosed with Lyme Disease, and she has been suffering greatly with arthritis and fatigue. She often attempts to get ready for her day only to end up at home full of joint and muscle pain and exhaustion. If I could brighten her day by giving her this beautiful quilt to make her smile on those days when she covers herself up with it, I would be so happy. She helps us out a lot, and I would love the opportunity to do something for her. Thank you! :-)

It's beautiful! I love it!! I would love to win because it's amazing, but also because we have 4 girls in our house (including me) and that's super girlie, so we just need it. :)

Oh my goodness! Why do I want to win that quilt? For it's juicy goodness, of course! I have no blog to link you to. Ever so sorry about that.

You can find me at funkykim AT comcast DOT net.

Why? Because it is one of the prettiest lines I have seen. (not trying for brownie points, I really feel this way). I was excited when you posted about it early on. I then saw it in the stores and loved it even more. I started with a charm pack, then another, then that fat quarter bundle looked so pretty. Then, Nadine had the nerve to show the cutest dress in her store made from Eden - had to have that and had to search for that print(everyone is selling out of it quickly). I am addicted to this line. I would love it because I would truly appreciate it.

I won't give you the whole spiel but she is having surgery in a few months and we have been told the chnaces of her coming out are slim. I would love her to have something this pretty even if for just a short while as she has never owned anything remotely girly.

Hello, I love your designs and was surfing the net for your patterns when I came to your page. I would love to win your quilt and give it away to a military family that has had a loss. I lost my son to suicide shortly after he came home from Iraq. It has been 5 years now and I volunteer my time to help families that also have similiar losses. Your quilt would help to add some sunshine to an otherwise dreary time. Please view my son's memorial website at www.jason-cooper.memory-of.com

okay I was going to tell you why I want this quilt...but after reading Laurie's post, She was your first post.. about her 8 year-old daughter being so shy and working with her to be brave and make friends... I'll have to be honest I can't think of a better reason to win this quilt. So If my name is chosen please award the quilt to Laurie's daughter and tell her that she has touched some one and has a friend some where in the world. Thank you for having this giveaway and allowing me to read about Laurie's daughter. I will post about this giveaway on my blog.

This quilt makes me happy . . . I love the colors, the movement in the pattern and the image in my mind of a loved child being gifted this quilt. If I were to win this quilt, I would donate it to the Utah Valley Healthcare Foundation. I serve on the board and we have a live and silent auction at our annual major fundraising event "The Chocolate Extravaganza" on March 5th. All the proceeds go to the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at UVRMC so that babies not born healthy can ultimately go home with their families. It's amazing what goes on there for the tiniest and sickest of babies. So, imagine the joy not only of the person who bids high and wins this quilt, but the mommies, daddies and babies that will benefit from the proceeds!

I have MS and spend most of the day in my wheelchair the rest in my hospital bed. I would love to be able to cover with this ray of sunshine. I also have posted about it on my blog.

That quilt is a beauty. Hi Lila,
I stopped by your blog this morning to oogle your beautiful "EDEN" fabric. I love your pattern designs and fabrics. I also love your choice of name for this particular line. The first of my six granddaughters is also named "EDEN". I am a quilter and was planning to purchase this pattern and fabric to make the quilt for my granddaughter who has Aspergers Syndrome and would feel so special having a quilt with fabric sharing her name.
Being fortunate enough to win just the pattern or fabric for this beautiful quilt would be blessing enough. I thank you, and Eden thanks you, for this opportunity and congratulations on another winning fabric design.

I love this line of fabric. It makes me realize that spring can't be too far away. I would love to win this wonderful quilt to liven up my boring white walls in my studio, BUT, I was reading the other comments and read the comment from Molly at http://sewquiltwhatever.blogspot.com and how she has MS. Her story touched my heart the way the young girl in your first post did another commenter. I feel like the quilt would go to much better use and not only liven Molly's day, but those around her in the hospital as well. So, IF I were to win this quilt, please donate it to her in my name.

I choose a blog each day to spotlight, and I will be focusing on yours tomorrow (Feb 23). So, not only will people know about the quilt giveaway, they will have a permanent link to your blog.

I would love to win this quilt for Me. I am new to quilting, I inherited my mother's quilting things and unfinished projects and I now follow in her footsteps and make quilts and lap robes for donations to nursing homes, cancer patients and seriously ill children. I have never made a quilt for me as there are just to many people in need of a little comfort. This is why I would love to win just for me, as I could never make anything so beautiful and if I won it I wouldn't feel guilty keeping it for myself.

That's one gorgeous quilt! I want it because I just do, I'm in love with this fabric. Plus, I already have a few charm packs and some yardage of Eden to make a couple of table runners (one for the table and one for the buffet) for my kitchen and that quilt could tie the living room and kitchen together!

Heading over to post on my blog right now! dusty.atterberry.net

What lovely texture and wonderful ideas for techniques to make it unique. I want this quilt to see how you did each thing...I'm a visual learner and this would be great to add punch to an ordinary quilt. Then I'd gift it to my daughter who just found out she is pregnant...don't know that it'll be a girl yet so it can dress up my boudoir until we know! ha. Love the birdies esp! Shelley

I want the quilt for myself. I've never owned a quilt or made myself one. In Singapore, it would be pretty hard to buy a handmade quilt. Late at night when I'm sitting in front of my computer, I need a quilt to snuggle in. It's very girly, something my husband would never let me buy. But if I get it free...

The quilt and the fabrics are beautiful. It would be so easy to say that the quilt would be perfect for my granddaughter but .... she is 5 and loves to help me sew. We could design her quilt together and she would be happy. This quilt would go to my dear friend that is struggling with caring for her mother. Three years ago I lost my mom to Alzheimers and now I am watching and comforting my friend Cindy as her mom is slipping away. What an awesome quilt just for Cindy to curl up with after a very trying event with her mom. Cindy is an only child .... I am fortunate in having a sister that I was able to cry with, yell with and pray with ... but this quilt could be a warm hug at the end or beginning of the day. What a special quilt you have created and a special giveaway.

Oh my gosh, what a fabulous and generous giveaway!!! I have just used my little sample squares of 'Eden' that were in the Fat Quarter Shop sample boxes of 2 1/2" squares I bought last year. I love it so much, so bright and pretty just like my granddaughter Eden!!
She is the reason I would really, really love to win this quilt to give to here. She's a middle girl in a family of three girls and a baby brother. Dad left last year and she's taking it harder than the rest, but that's by the by! I would just so love to give her a quilt that was made entirely of fabric with the same name as herself. How exciting would that be? Even not winning I have to make her something from 'her' fabric I think.
I'm off to post about your giveaway now, have a great week and I'll just have to keep everything crossed for a win!!!

I want this quilt!! It is so pretty and the ruffles are fabulous! Now what would I with such a quilt:

1) Keep it, this is the first thing that comes to mind. However, I love giving away things! I've only made 3 (and a half) quits and they have all been for other people!

2) Hoard it until one of my siblings/friends has a baby girl!

3) One of my friends, who is 23 now, was born with half a heart. She's been fine until several months ago when she was told she needed a valve replacement, then yesterday her surgeon suggested a heart transplant. BIG DIFFERENCE!! I think the pink ruffles in the center of the quilt look like hearts and would be perfect for Jessica!

I LOVE THIS QUILT!!! The second I saw it it brought me back to 1980 when I was pregnant, expecting my daughter who is now 29 years old and expecting herself!. I had a pet bird named Crystal, a cockatiel, which is one of the types of birds on one of the fabrics in this quilt. The sweet expression on that bird reminds me of her. Crystal used to on my pregnant belly while I scratched her head and whispered the dreams I had for my daughter to her. I would love to give this quilt to my daughter and tell her this story. I do not think she's already heard it and I think it would be a great story to tell at her baby shower in June.
