More Market pictures I had to Steal

Hello friends,
I have a few more photos for you. Yes, I have been reduced to a photo thief because of my camera problem. I do have permission to steal these, though.

This one, above, is of the Pink Fig Patterns Booth. My dear niece Chelsea Andersen is the brain power behind this awesome designer line of adorable patterns for little girls. Those pictures on the wall are her girls, too. She has great inspiration!

This one above, and the two below are from Amy Butler's fabulous booth, which is always a treat for the senses! She is just soooo amazing...who can dispute that?

This here is miss Patty Young, who you will remember created Andalucia for Michale Miller
and became an over night sensation! Her new line, Mezzanine, is equally as mind-blowing, and here is Patty herself, looking so cute in a tunic made from her own fabric.

More of Patty'e great booth! She also has a line of modern children's patterns that are totally unique to Patty. Aren't they great??

This adorably funky doll was designed by Elinor Peace Bailey for Patty's booth. She's such an amazingly creative artist!
Speaking of "Bailey", here is Heather Bailey (I know you know her) and Laura Gunn, her sis in law, and daughter of Elinor Peace Bailey, mentioned above, and Chelsea of Pink Fig. See that cute fabric on Laura's shirt? Well...that's because she has her own line of fabric now. See below.

Here, below, are two shots of Laura's booth, showing her creativity and her artwork designs now available on fabric by Michael Miller! FABULOUS!

Below is a picture of Joel Dewberry, a fabulous designer for Free Spirit (ya'll should know him!) and a new designer for Free Spirit, Vicki Payne! I absolutely LOVE her new line! Joel has a new line out as well, called Deer Valley. It is classic Joel, with a couple of great florals thrown into the mix. You'll want some!

And here are a couple shots of Valorie Wells and her booth, displaying her awesome line of fabric and patterns!

Here is a picture of Paula Prass' booth for her new line: Summer Soire'e! (sound familiar?)
She is an interior designer gone fabric designer with Michael Miller, and I LOVE her new zebra prints in wild colors! Go Paula!

And last but not least, This is Myrinda Dixon of The Fabric Hound! She is always the life of the party at market...I think EVERYONE there knows her, and it wouldn't be the same at quilt market without her! She's just TOO MUCH FUN!

Market pictures...a few anyway

These pictures are mostly just of my booth with some of my friends/sisters and I. I'm waiting on Chelsea for more pictures of other booths. I actually took tons of pictures, but SOMETHING HAPPENED to all of them, and they are lost on my camera!!! I can't find them anymore. It's as if someone snuck into my hotel room and deleted them all while I was sleeping. There is nothing on my memory card. So I have to rely on other people's photography skills, (which are going to be better than mine would have been anyway) to share any pictures with you. Here's a few:

This is me inside my booth on the first day. I was really tired.

This one is of me and two of my sisters: Kathy is the brunette, and Lucy is the blond.

This is just a close up of the paintings that were in the booth to kind of pick up on the fabric designs. I did the purple one, and Kathy did the pink one. She bailed me out big time. It's a good thing I'm not the only artist in my family!

This is me, showing a little PDA to Stella. She's my bud!

Here is Kathy, my sister, who volunteered to help me man my booth. She didn't know she would have to speak for me as well. She learned to read lips on this trip.

This is just another angle of my booth, showing the pattern display.

This is Kathy, Chelsea, Lucy, and I. Chelsea (Pink Fig Patterns) is married to Kathy's oldest son. That's the connection.

This is "the chair". I made a slipcover for it...it's an Ikea chair I picked up once I was in Pittsburg. I have one like it at home that served as my model. My daughter Natalie has now claimed it for her bedroom.

This is Stella and I with our booth award. (Second Day, I think.) Very happy!

Well, that's it for now. I'll have more tomorrow. It's past my bedtime, and my eyes are burning from the computer screen! Thanks for stopping by...

CUTE!

(This picture is way too small, but if you click on the site below you'll see it much better there!)

Check out this adorable little dress I found on Allegro Fabrics' site! I just had to share it...it's just too cute! This dress features Soire'e Leaf Bouquet as he main focal print, with Meadow Paisley above, and Gazebo Damask as the hem band. All three in the "Petal" colorway. It also has the Candy Pink Ta-dot from Michael Miller on the bodice.

Whew! That was wild

Hello blogworld...I just got back from quiltmarket in Pittsburg, PA. It was a lot of fun, and a lot of work, and to top it all off I got some weird sickness that attacked my vocal chords causing me to totally lose my voice and I had to use my sister as a spokesperson. But all in all it was pretty great!

This is a picture taken of Stella and I, showing a little bit of my booth for ya'll to peek at. This was taken by my friend Heidi from Quilthome. She is one of my biggest supporters, and I am one of her biggest fans! Their website is fabulous for finding all the great fabric you are looking for. They have an incredibly large selection, and their service rivals anyone out there. Besides that, they are just good friendly people that take their business seriously and really take care of their customers.
Here's the link:
QuiltHome.com.
There was a lot of fun stuff that happened there, and I promise to get you some great pictures of everything so you can sort of get a feel for what it was like.
But one really great thing that happened was that my booth was given the prize for Best New Exhibitor! That was a completely unexpected and totally shocking turn of events that lifted my sickly little spirits and made it all worth the trouble. But there were many fabulous booths there that I want to share with you, so give me a couple of days to "regroup", and send off my orders, etc...and I will get them up for you.
Also, be looking for the new patterns to show up on the right sidebar, as they are here, and ready to be ordered. I just need to get them all bagged up, and that's going to take some doing!

Thanks for being patient, and check back soon!

PS. If you want to get Santorini precuts, they are available now! Here's a link: Fatquartershop.com

If I could be morphed...

(BTW...My blog is undergoing some construction work/remodeling, and is not quite done yet. Sorry for the mess!)

You may remember a few months back when I had a celebrity morph contest, I blended or "morphed" pictures of celebrities together, and the blogworld contestants had to figure out who they were to win a prize. One of the morphs was of me and a celebrity. I did a couple of them for fun, and I just ran across one of them.
This is what I would look like if I could create a "new me". (I would only do it if there was no pain involved, no scalpels, no needles, no recovery time, and no expense.)

Here it is:

Can you guess who the celebrity is? This one should be pretty easy...(you won't win a prize for getting it right. The mole is a dead giveaway.)

Wow! I look pretty hot!
If you want to try this yourself, go to www.Morphthing.com . It's pretty fun!

Halle Rose: the album

I know I am like most other grandmas in the world...but I am obsessed with my little Granddaughter Halle Rose. I can't get enough of her. I can't stop looking at pictures of her...I miss her so much! See...she lives in California and we live in Utah. It's not that far, I guess...I know it could be farther. But I can't just see her whenever I want, and I hate it! I'm secretly really mad at my son in law for taking my daughter away from me...2 months before she had her baby! He's a wonderful guy, it's true. Were it not for that, I would do something drastic!

So now that you know the saga behind the obsession, here are some pictures I just had to share. Thanks for letting me indulge!
