Howdy ya'll! How's life out there in blogworld?
I have been busy busy busy designing, but thought you should get a chance to see a couple of the new designs coming out in my Spring 2010 collection called "Eden".
This collection was inspired by my love of springtime, and some of the Easter-ish colors that are celebrated in that season.
I know we are headed into fall, and my fall collection "Santorini" is about to hit the store shelves... (see Hancock's of Paducah: available for pre-order) But In October I will have a booth at quilt market showcasing "Eden", and that is what I'm focusing on right this minute.
Here are a couple of actual scans of that fabric...so you can see how it was translated to cloth. These are all in the pink colorway. There is also a lavender colorway.
This one is called "Paradise"
This one is called "Eve's garden"
This is called "Dahlia Dreams"
As you can see, these are a lot softer than my other collections have been, so it's a new look for me! They said they wanted soft and pretty, so that's what they got!
Now those above are nothing like the colors in the next line...as yet unnamed, coming up after "Eden" in the fall of 2010.
Here's a couple more little snippets of that line:

Remember...not every design makes the cut, or every color combo. So these are just some potential designs.
I just like to share these things along the way...so you know I'm not just sitting on my duff all day eating bon bons and watching soap operas!
When my camera gets fixed, I'll share some other stuff with ya!
Have a good one...
Lila

Oh, so pretty! I'm a spring girl at heart, so my heart is going pitter patter! Also, please feel free to occasionally eat bon bons, but I don't recommend the soap operas :) We all need to rest now and then.
Oh I love them all so pretty! That bee fabric has to be the cutest ever!
Oh... I am so looking forward to both collections!!!
Hi Lila!
I'm liking your fabrics!Trying to see the entire current line!
My name is Lila too and I am an artist(watercolor) and a quilter...so I must find your fabrics!
P.S. Your patterns are cute too!
I love it! Are they going to produce any of it in flannel? I loved the flannels with your woodland bloom collection!
They are all so beautiful! I really love the last print with the bees, I hope it makes the cut ;)
I think my daughter will love the spring line but for me....that NEXT line! mmmmmmmmmm
Glad to know you've been busy doing yer thang. ;)
Lovely - I am excited to see the whole spring line - very pretty.
Those are gorgeous designs! I don't know if I could pick a favorite out of them all. You make it tough...and lovely. Keep doing your thing. (Whatever it may be, bon bons and all!) Adoration.
Oh, I hope it makes the cut... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!
I love Eden, I'll definitely be investing in some of that! And I'm also loving the new autumn collection, I too hope the one with the bees makes it into production! Moda did some embossed velvets with Three Sisters' Shangri-La collection, the blue/green print would look great in that.
I love both of them but especially the unnamed ones.
Oh my gosh, I am drooling! I can't wait for this one to come out!!
I'm in love! I love them both. I think I'll get some of the one with the bird and stretch on a canvas...so pretty.
Thank you so much for sharing! I am excited to see them in stores.
Have a great day.
I'm still new to all of this... and I'm not usually a fan of pink... but I actually find myself really liking the way you blend and mesh your work. You have a good sense of color balance! I'm enjoying you lots! :)
I can hardly wait. You are an amazing designer.
Very, very pretty stuff Lila!
I love the pink and yellow. That is my favorite color combination right now. I hope that I get to make something with it. I also like the other fabrics.
I'm so glad to see the snippets of Eden. After we talked last night I came here to see if I could find any of it and there it was! We will definitely plan on trying to get some of it for our shop. Thanks again!
Lila I love them! I especially love Eve's garden! P.S. thanks so much for the help with home dec fabric. I got some joel dewberry fabric and have loved it!
Son preciosos tus nuevos diseños...
Saludos desde España.
What beautiful color combinations. The pinks are so soft almost melting. We dont get fabrics like this in Sri Lanka but its lovely to admire them anyway,

Oh, I LOVE the one with the bees!!! It's just fabulous!
The spring collection looks beautiful! I think it's springy without being froofy (is that even a word?). Still definitely has your style. I love that first one in the fall collection so much - I hope it makes the cut so I can buy it! :)
I love all your new fab coming out, I enjoy seeing it but hate to think I have to wait until soooo long to buy. I love the little bumblebee on the one fab, hope it doesn't get cut.

Sorry, can't comment right now - still waiting for my heart to slow down! You've pushed all my buttons yet again, Lila!
Love, love, LOVE all of it!!!
I just finished a diaper bag for my little sister that was inspired by your Bohemian Bag pattern. Thanks to your advice while I was sewing my bag (and your fantabulous directions), I was able to breeze through it.
I love, love the first two snippets from the un-named line--they are both just stunning!
Oh,how delicious ... I love the colors!!!! Can't wait to see the new design! Thanks so much!
I love the bee's! My daughters name is Lilie B. It would be perfect fabric for a school bag! It's a great switch from the birds I keep seeing
"Eden" is beautiful! Love your detail and the colors are delicious . . . I will need to get my hands on some of this. - Marlene

Hi, Lila,
I am loving "Eve's Garden."
Hey, have you heard from Jessica? Thought maybe you had talked to her recently.
Hi! I hope you someday read this! I wanted to tell you your work is amazing I really love it!, I want to be a fabric designer too someday, currently I'm 20 yr old advertising design student with a 7m old baby girl :)
I'm curious how you started doing it and what does it takes to become a fabric designer?
Thanks :) much love,
Mariana
