"Name that Mannequinn"

I just wanted you to meet a new friend of mine. She's not like anyone else you know. I think it's safe to say you have never met anyone as quiet, and as composed as this new friend of mine. She's kept a low profile, so far, but is soon to have a "coming out of the closet"...of sorts. She needs to be introduced to the world. Her view of life has been limited to my little studio, as I scurry in and out, making one mess after another. She knows nothing of the REAL world. But, I've decided it's time to introduce her to BLOGWORLD. One step at a time.

Please meet my new friend _______!

(That's a nice padded booty!)

See, she doesn't even have a name. Poor thing. I did call her a few choice names during her construction that I wouldn't want to repeat , but I like her better now. She's actually going to Quilt Market with me, to model some of my new patterns in my booth.

...But I really need some help coming up with her name. I'm drawing a blank. I'm so stumped.
If I choose your name, I'll give you a little surprise! (Leave me with your email please)

Be creative, now, come on!

Update:Hey... great names Blogworld inhabitants!
I am enjoying this so much! I still haven't chosen my fave yet, but I'm loving all of your creative ideas!

Just a thought...Wouldn't it be funny if I bought her a plane ticket and had her sit beside me on the plane ride to market. What if I sat there and had a conversation with her the whole way, ordered her a Diet coke and some peanuts, and just acted like there was nothing weird. Think of the looks on the flight attendants' faces as they realized that they were dealing with a clearly mentally disturbed passenger, and that they better play along or I might freak out and do something scary on the plane. Hahaha...So they would come up and ask both of us if we needed anything, and I would use some weird ventriloquist voice to be "Her" voice and answer back that I wanted a headset for the movie, and maybe a little more respect from the crew. I'd have a blast with that one!

Now give me yours.

As soon as I say her, I knew her name was Tallulah. She will be a great model for your patterns in your booth and promises not to go off and get into trouble.

Lady Lindal and you could call her Lindy for short. I think Lindy Tueller is really cute. I assume she's your adopted (created) daughter.

Kim said...

You could spell it four different ways. Lyndi, Lyndie, Lindie, or Lindy.

I'd call her Angie, I think she has, aside from her hair, quite the resemblance to Angelina Jolie.

Call her "Joy Delmar"..."joy" or "J.D." for short... after the place you stayed in Cabo (Casa Joya Delmar).....she has the pink hair that is the same color as the flowers there and when she gets her clothes on she'll have all of the colors of Cabo! An inspiration to go back after all of your hard work :-)

Frenchy. Her pink hair reminds me of the Grease character by the same name!

Jess said...

Her hair color would be my inspiration, as well, with the name of Cerise. That is as far as I have gotten with the name. I can't wait to see what you do with it.

stacyefisher@yahoo.com said...

"Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl with yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there...at the Copa, Copacabana" How about that a name and song to boot! Have fun picking and Aloha from Hawaii, Stacy

ozjane said...

I looked at the butt and thought "plain Jane", and no nonsense...then I looked at the hair and purple peril came to mind, but then Aged Barbee as in purple vs blue hair..
I keep thinking of the song "Purple people eater"
But she is a model after all......
so maybe "model Purple" or even just "my purple person"

when in doubt I always use Roxanne!!
Have fun Lila..she's gorgeous!

Mary Anna said...

I also like Lola, but I thought of the song by The Kinks as soon as I saw her photo. I don't know why - I doubt she's a man in drag! But, you never know!!!

Oh, I need to ask for some help! I'm sewing your Bohemian Bag pattern on my Bernina Virtuoso 160 and my needle keeps breaking. I've tried pressing the pedal as fast as it will go and moving the fabric very slow so I'm not moving it while the needle is in the fabric. I've also tried different needles: Universal, quilting, leather ... still snapping.

I should probably mention that I'm boxing the bottom, which means the fabric is super thick!

The first two names that popped in my head were Lilac and Fursia (because her hair looks like pink fur to me)

I like Francie for her name. She looks like a lot of fun. Wish I had one.

She looks fun and funky. How about Sybille... you'd have to check that spelling though. Sounds like Sih-beal. I used to work with a french lady, she was the art dept. whiz.

Priscilla said...

I think she is a 'Miss Frou Frou' - mostly because the song 'must be dreaming' was playing when I got to your blog - and with all that pink hair, she seems a bit frou, frou don't you think lol!

I've always had a secret desire to name a girl Euphoria, but none of mine had pink hair! Just look up Euphoria in the dictionary ("a feeling of well-being or elation") and you'll see your mannequin's picture. ;-)

Love always, George

Although I think Lola as definitely a great suggestion, I like Genevieve or Camille.

Lola seems to be popular. It happens to be my nickname. Lolita is another nickname.
What about Rosita or Rosa for her hair? Last attempt, Camille or Cami?

Maya Cherise

An exotic, free spirited name for the wild pink haired lady.

Did you make her yourself? If so--you are amazing!

Aubree said...

hmmm I think she looks like a Jayne

Snowdrops and Mudpie said...

Well here's my suggestion, it's based on a bit of an anogram....

Made By Lila Tueller With Love = MBLTWL. From that I got Mabel Twilly. Sort of a cute old fashioned name and yeah, it's not really a true anogram but nobody said there were any rules for this :)

Katherine said...

I think you should name her Lolita Teuller! or Margarita?!

Jo Flemings said...

I like Sadie. or Esme.
