Three times, count'em. Three. That's how many times I have suckered into going to see Twilight. I know I'm too old to care...
It's just that I have four daughters, and they of course love it, and they drag me there over and over, and let's face it...Edward is a babe!(Never mind that I have two children older than he is)
There are several parts that have me mesmerized. The first one is when he introduces himself to Bella in class ( after he has been mysteriously gone for days)...so sweet and so proper!
The second one is when he takes her to his house, and they go into his room, and she asks why he doesn't have a bed, and he sheepishly says "I don't sleep." She says "Ever?" And he gets that look, and says "No, not at all." Absolutely incredibly adorable.
The third one is when he is in her room, and he tells her he wants to try something, and tells her to "hold very still"...moves in..."Don't move..." OHHH, that is pure heaven. That entire scene is almost painful to watch.
There are more, but I don't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet. Is there anyone in that category?
I hope you all (minus those from other countries of course) had a great Thanksgiving, and that you were able to spend it thanking Heavenly Father for all of the blessings in your life...which usually translates into people you love, and the precious time spent with them.
Love to you all...

OK. I hope you guys have good celebrity recognition skills! Here's the deal. I have "morphed"
the faces of some famous people together to create new celebrity faces you have never seen before. Your job is to identify the two famous individuals that make up the new morphed celebrity. There are 12 of them. You have to get them all correct to win the grand prize. Now here are some hints:
1) Two of the morphs are a male/ female combination
2) One of the morphs is of me and a celebrity.
You should know, or could easily find the names of all of these famous people. This contest will go on for 1 week, so till Nov. 24th at noon. You can leave a comment here, but DO NOT leave a comment with your answers, as this may give hints to others. Email me the answers instead.
example: Image 1: Donald Duck and Micky Mouse
Image 2: etc...
Please leave me with your Blog address in your email, and put a little post in your blog about this contest with a link to my blog. I will be checking your blog for a link- so make sure you don't forget!
Grand prize will be a fabulous bag made from my "Soire'e" fabric line, shown above, and will be awarded to the first entry with the correct answers. There will be other prizes for runners up, to be announced later.
Good Luck and have fun!

So...the very first entry had the correct answer! As did the second, and the third! (See the following contest post, below)
Man...I thought that would be harder! Then I realized all they had to do was right click on the images, and the name of the island popped up! Hahaha! The joke's on me! I did fix that problem , but it was too late.
I think that I shall have to come up with a NEW, HARDER contest! Don't worry, I shall still award prizes to the winners. BUT, we are going to do another contest, so stay tuned!

It's been a while, I guess life in the real world has had me a bit bogged down. But I haven't forgotten you!
Today I'm taking you on a little visual tour through the inspiration for my next line of fabrics. I don't mean "Soire'e", I mean the NEXT line after that, which I have already submitted to Moda, and will be seen at the Spring '09 Quilt Market. See, I am WAY ahead of "Woodland Bloom" (my first line) even though it is still relatively new to the shops around the country. (I have already begun production on my fourth line now, but that's a topic for another day!)
So see if you can guess the exact island location of the inspiration for my third line. I will award the winner a special prize, which will be a fabulous purse I have made from some of my fabrics from the "Soire'e" line! I'll keep you posted on the specifics of that prize. Each contestant can only make one guess. Don't cheat, now! I'm watching you. (and so is God... and Santa) The contest will go for two weeks. That puts the closing date at: Sunday, Nov 30.
In the event that there is more than one winner, I shall award multiple secondary prizes, but the first entry with the winning guess will receive the grand prize. I promise it will be good!
Now please note that in order to qualify, you need to include your email address in your comment, and a link to your blog, if you have one. You can get three entries if you put a quick post about the contest on your blog, with a link back to my blog.
So here is the first hint of the subject matter at hand:The fabulous fruit of the Olive tree; one of the crops grown in this region of the world.
A spectacular coastal view of the location in question.
...Typical of the townships of the area.
That's all you get! Now think specifically. Not a country, but an island of a country.
