Got a (BIG) Package in the Mail...

It Said MODA on it. I knew what that meant. To say I was excited to open the box is a gross understatement...the suspense was intense as I attempted to tear through the tape with my fingers...because my long awaited "Soire'e" fabric cuts had arrived! There are butterflies in one's stomach when this happens...beyond anything I've yet experienced. Words can't describe it.

Days have gone by, since then, filled with incessant cutting and sewing in a frantic attempt to get market samples ready, and pattern cover photos taken and sent off before the deadlines. Finally I realized I hadn't paused long enough to take some pictures! So this morning I ran to find my camera... and took one... just one, before my battery died. Of course my battery died. So here is the lonesome, light dappled, not so great photo of part of one colorway. That's all I've got right now, so it will have to do, until tomorrow! Not that it really matters to anyone but me!

(I've got to say it, This is really fun!) But my kitchen...well, you know!

SUNDAY UPDATE...The other colorway.

And Here's a shot of the RETRO "GROOVY" BAG, all ready for it's market debut!

Lila,

I absolutely LOVE it. I have been waiting no so patiently for Material Girls to get Woodland Blossom in because I have a quilt I really want to do with it. I am going to have to come up with a pattern for this line. You are soooo talented.

Hi Lila
Just absolutely gorgeous!!!
It's not fair you know, and your not helping with the waiting game, by showing us these pictures.
If I fly over there and clean your kitchen, the whole house...can I have some lol

Your fabric is absolutely beautiful and I can already see the fabulous skirts my girls will be wearing out of this!! I hope your darling apron class went great at Material Girls last week- I was hoping I could make it, but we had a neighborhood tragedy strike. I hope you will come again and do another great class and I will cross my fingers for smooth sailing for everyone and I will totally be there, ready to learn and sew, sew and learn,etc.,etc...

isn't it great being in business....how exciting when the UPS guy drops off those long awaited boxes......even though you know what's in them....it's still like Christmas....as you tear into them anxious to hold the actual product in hand....oooo and auuhhing....this was MY favorite part of being an entrepeneur ((( sigh )))

your hard work shows up brilliantly in your final presentation and products...........what dirty dishes???

I can't wait to use that fabric - although I'm having a bit of trouble finding Woodland Blooms yardage locally and have been reassured it's coming. I do love the bag and hope the pattern is available soon. I hope you post some of your market projects on your blog so we can see them and get excited all over again!

omg when can i get my hands on that?? wow!! and if you dont mind - im going to buy your bohemian bag pattern and i want to get your other line of fabric for it. if i get the 10" square pack, will those be enough instead of the fat quarters, or do the pieces need to be a full bolt's length wide? thanks! agmcgaha - at - gmail :)
